Building Healthy Habits, Kim Macon

The Full-Time Training in Anaheim has rendered me the help and practice necessary for a healthy Christian life. The trainers constantly exhort us to go to the Lord to spend private and intimate time with Him in fellowship, and the training schedule facilitates this. Especially early in the morning, I have been building up a habit and a taste to spend time with the Lord. What a way to start off the day--spending intimate time with Him in prayer.

Another healthy habit that's being established for my daily Christian life is reading and studying the Bible, not in a shallow way, but in a deep way. What I mean by this is that I have been learning to touch the Spirit in the Word through prayer and to dig deeper into the words beyond the surface level. By practicing this the Bible has become a new book every time I get into it.

Lastly, this Training has also helped me to pick up another vital and healthy habit in my Christian life and that is preaching the gospel. In the Bible, the Lord charged His

disciples to go and proclaim. This is also His charge to all of His believers. John 15:16 says, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I set you that you should go forth and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain. That whatever you ask the Father in my name He may give you.” So four days out of the week I have the opportunity (and privilege) to preach the gospel. Even though I get nervous every time I go out, the Lord never fails to get the glory. What an experience to share the gospel!
